Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago Lost and Found” sneakers

The first shoe to drop as part of Jordan Brand’s ‘Reimagined’ series (which was followed by the Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement’ last month), the ‘Lost & Found’ is an almost one-to-one remake of the original Air Jordan 1 from 1985. Featuring the same red, white, and black palette, it’s crafted from a full leather construction but with a pre-aged effect that gives it an old school vibe.

There’s even more cracked leather to the collar, and the Air midsole underfoot has been slightly yellowed. Brand new, but looking archival. To keep in line with the retro theme, each ‘Lost & Found’ comes packed in an era-accurate shoebox complete with faux receipts that are identical to those from the original ’80s release.

Thanks to Ben Affleck’s Air, hype surrounding the OG ‘Chicago’ colourway has reached an all time high. Considered to be the most legendary basketball shoe ever made, it was designed by Peter Moore and was made specifically for Michael Jordan. While signing b-ball players was nothing new at the time, this was significant in that MJ was but a rookie back in 1985, and creating an all-new sneaker line for someone who had never even set foot on a NBA court was totally unheard of, even by today’s standards.
